Case Study - Rugby Club | | | | The path being laid. | The finished path | | | |
This project by Kwik Kerb involved the training ground at the prominent rugby club 'Saracens', in Hertfordshire.
Saracens premier league team train at Woollam Playing Fields, St Albans - a ground managed by OA Sports. OA Sports and Saracens are committed to contributing to a better greener environment, thus when a new pathway was required between the players change rooms and the fields, the pathway surface had to eco friendly. Kwikkerb was asked to install this porous resin bound surface, primarily on the basis of the quality of work carried out and observed at the The Grove Golf Course and Resort near Watford. Resin bound aggregate porous surfaces allows 100% of rainwater to drain straight back in to the ground. Andrew Mills-Baker, Chairman of Woollam Playing Fields, St Albans said: "We have turned a high traffic walk way between pitches from a muddy and slippery track into an attractive resin bound gravel path and are delighted that is has been constructed with recycled material"
